My prayer of appreciation today began as soon as I woke up early enough to catch the weather before it became unbearable. I went to the nature preserve and took pictures. I found myself on a different path that led directly to easy water access. Coincidentally wearing the right shoes and pants for it, I prepared myself to commune with the cool stream. I prayed for protection for me and my camera. I gave deep gratitude for my body and the healing it continues to undergo. I was challenged to be patient and careful and tune in to the rocks and the animals as I stepped with caution. The few times I caught my balance, I immediately expressed gratitude for the protection granted to me. As I neared the bridge, I felt a strong push to leave the creek and head home, so I followed the prompting and found an easy way up the bank. Once in my car, I gave thanks for the morning spent in nature.
