To get the Toe Reading class rolling, the teacher wanted to hear a story relating to the TOES or FEET!
I found myself in Sedona last weekend for a yoga retreat. Walking barefoot is my preference, but that's not the best idea in this dangerous world of unpredictable ground. I take the chance to walk barefoot whenever I can. Thanks to a new friend, I found this stream adjacent to where I ended up staying for the weekend. I read the introduction and first two chapters of our textbook "Toe Reading - Are you walking your destined path?" (by K.C. Miller) while I let my feet dangle in the water. It was lovely. I honored my barefoot glory while allowing the water to therapeutically massage my aching feet.
Yoga balance postures over the weekend were really challenging my foot muscles - and my emotions. Warrior pose is my greatest challenge. I recognize I am learning how to step out as the warrior inside of me gets stronger, even though it is scary. As I have stepped into my worry and embraced my fears, my life's purpose has been revealed more clearly and quickly. As I walk the path of my purpose, my big toe (Ether Toe) gradually straightens and my communication (Air Toe) is more free to be expressed internally and externally.
Here is a little picture show from the story.
